Drivers (special-purpose software) were needed when connecting peripheral equipment to the iMac computers of 1998-1999, drivers. Cables would provide a physical connection between the computer and the external hardware, but the drivers allowed the computer to control printing or other information transfer. The software on these CDs provides this software support for two types of equipment.
