The Kaypro II was the first product released by Kaypro in 1982. At the time it was one of the most popular computers on the market. It was designed to be portable even though it was quite heavy at 29 pounds. Its popularity can be attributed to the third-party software it came with (the Perfect series), and its screen size, which was larger than its primary competitor, the Osborne 1.
