Microtype Tutor is a package of typing exercises and software to help students improve their typing skills. A description in the 1989 catalog of J. Weston Walch (p. 11) states, "Advanced students can polish their skills with this package of disk-and-worksheet exercises. The disk contains 4 student programs: Home-Base Letters (two-letter home row exercises); Words and Phrases (typing reach drills); Finger Placement; and Speed."

Students would type material from worksheets at a computer keyboard, and a program would monitor speed and accuracy.

This package includes a full Walch catalog and numerous worksheets for student use. Microtype Tytor was written by John B. Cook.
