The Minivac 6010 is a digital computer kit developed by Scientific Development Corporation. It was released in late 1961. The purpose of the kit was to teach users binary arithmetic, and how computer assembly languages work. The 6010 built on the design of their first product, the 610. The improvements included a new paint job, additional patch cables, and changed the tolerance of some of the switches. As a result the price rose from $85 to $479 for those minor additions in the 6010. The additions were added, so that large companies would purchase them, because they would not purchase the 601. Included is a manual for the 601 that has various learning experiments.
