According to the attached note, Coahran acquired this from David Benson (Washington State University Computer Science Department), whose oldest son, Bjorn Benson, built it at home. The machine was probably built sometime in the 1970's.
There are two identifiers printed on a sticker on the back. Maybe these were placed by the chassis manufacturer? Model: H9 Series No.: 01750
