The FLEX OS is a three part OS for 8 inch floppy disks.

The FLEX Operating System was designed for the 6809 CPU (Central Processing Unit) chip. System requirements inlcuded
- 12K random access memory (RAM) with specific memory accresses
- additional main memory (48K) making 56K memory total
- When running, the operating system occupied the top 12K of memory (addresses 48K to 56K)
- 2 disk drives, connected to a controller and addressed as drive #0 and drive #1
