Kas-Ette/10 Library Case

Donor:  Anonymous

A beige, hard plastic case that snaps closed, this case is designed to hold (with a flexible holding system) fourteen eight-inch floppy disks.

Floppy disks used to be the most popular and common way to store data, until the advent of CDs, DVDs, flash drives, and memory cards. The original floppy disks were designed by IBM, and became commercially available in 1971.
