The parallel printer interface card allows the Apple II to produce hard-copy (printed) output on a wide variety of printers. This compact board not only provides a complete electronic link between the printer and the Apple II motherboard, but in addition it contains a powerful firmware package to handle interpretation of program commands for the printer, compensation for varying printer line lengths and special control characters peculiar to a given printer.
