CAChe 3D Trackball

Donor:  Anonymous

The CAChe 3D trackball was created for the Computer-Aided Chemistry WorkSystem, a molecular modelling package released in 1989 as a tool for experimental chemists. The trackball enables users to rotate and translate molecules as represented on a monitor by a 3D coordinate system. It has left-, right-, and middle-click buttons and displays the CAChe chemistry set logo at the trackball's base. The full CAChe system package includes a Macintosh computer with upgraded coprocessor card, a 3D stereoscopic display, and the 3D trackball and can be found on display at the Tektronix Museum in Portland, Oregon.
