Shuttle X27D Computer

Donor:  Grinnell College Information Technology Services

This computer was purchased in 2008 as part of an exploration of inexpensive options for MathLAN. The computer cost about $200.00 and ran a version of Linux. The X27D was capable of running all software in use on MathLAN at the time. However, compared to MathLAN workstations of its day (HP dc5700 Microtowers), the Shuttle was slow and occasionally seemed underpowered.
